excITingIP.com is a blog, dedicated to Computer Networking & Enterprise IT Technologies.
My name is Rajesh K, and I have worked in the Computer Networking industry in Sales / Pre-Sales positions for 6.5 years. I am from Chennai, but I have also worked in Bangalore and Coimbatore (South Indian Cities) during that tenure.
When I started off in this field, little did I know that Computer Networking is like a big ocean! Customers kept asking me so many technical questions, and it was a bit awkward to tell them, ‘I’ll get back to you’ every time!
That was the primary reason to start this blog – To learn the basics of Computer Networking and related IT technologies and pen it down on this space so that I can refer back to it whenever I want to. Of course, I was sure that others like me could also immensely benefit from all the information being at one place.
If you look at Computer Networking and related fields like Telecommunications, Video Conferencing, Video Surveillance etc, you can notice that all of them are converging on to the IP Platform (Computer Network). Computer Networking itself has many sub-categories like Active Network Devices, Passive Devices, Wireless Networks, Network Security, Network Optimization, etc. Today, one needs to have a good understanding of all these multiple fields, irrespective of which one they specialize in. I hope this website could be very useful for that purpose.
I am working on this blog full time now (Mon – Fri). I also have a personal blog – Destination Infinity, where I pen down my thoughts on general topics and indulge in some creative writing.
